Founded in 2008 by Bo and Kevin Carney, Mohawk General Store began as a small space on Mohawk Street in Echo Park that reflected the vibrant energy and laid-back sensibility of Los Angeles. Following rapid growth, we moved to our larger Silver Lake location in 2010.

Since then, our incredible community has embraced us in our new home, allowing us to build strong connections with our deeply passionate clientele filled with forward-thinking creatives who inspire us each day.

At Mohawk, we focus on curating a careful selection of seasonal ready-to-wear, jewelry, home goods, apothecary items, and our in-house men’s line, SMOCK. Established in 2014, SMOCK is an artisanal label that embodies California's laid-back sensibility through craftsmanship, quality textiles and ethical production. SMOCK is made in Los Angeles and Japan. 

With our dedicated men’s and women’s shops, plus the Mohawk Apartment event space just down the street, we offer multiple avenues for an inclusive, community-centered environment through our lens.
